Craig Fechter, CPA

Craig R. Fechter, CPA, is President of Fechter & Company, CPAs located in Sacramento, CA and has developed a number of firm specialties –

Craig graduated from Sacramento State University in June of 2001 with a degree in accounting. He is presently enrolled at Golden Gate University with 9 of 10 classes completed towards a masters degree in the accounting program with an expected graduation date of December 2011.

Craig initially received his certification from the California Board of Accountancy in January of 2005.

Craig has been an adjunct faculty of accounting at American River College and is presently teaching a business tax course for UC Davis Extension. He recently assisted UC Davis staff in developing the course material, learning objectives and course outline for this course.

Craig has been active in the community as well, serving on the finance and executive committee of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Sacramento. Craig also serves on the Facilities, Transportation and Finance Committee of the San Juan School District which acts in an advisory capacity to the Board of Education.

Craig has also been published by Comstocks business magazine in September of 2008 and many other local publications.

Scott A. German, CPA

Scott A German has been with Fechter & Company as a principal since 2009. Mr. German brings his practical experience providing outsourced controller services to a wide variety of clients.

Mr. German has held successful financial management positions with construction and non-profit organizations. Mr. German entered the practice of public accounting 1985 with the international accounting firm KPMG.

Mr. German graduated in 1985 from California State University at Sacramento with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, concentrating in Accounting.

Since entering the profession of accounting Mr. German has volunteered with various organizations including United Way, Sacramento Tree Foundation, California Hospice Foundation and St Francis Elementary School.

Mr. German currently sits on the Board of Directors for both the California Hospice Association and the California Hospice Foundation where he is currently the Treasurer.

Esther Dunnaway, Office Manager

Esther Dunnaway is the office manager for Fechter & Company Certified Public Accountants. She manages the day to day office functions and works closely with both Craig Fechter and Scott German.
Before coming to Fechter & Company, Esther held a position as an Assistant Manager where she managed office needs including processing accounts receivable/payable, created marketing materials, as well as handling weekly purchasing and receiving.

Prior to working as an Assistant Manager Esther worked as a Finance Assistant for a company where she prepared billing documents, reviewed contracts and organized and filed documents.
Esther graduated cum laude with a bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University of Sacramento, with a focus in behavior analysis. She also holds an associate's degree in Math and Science.

She currently resides in Sacramento with her husband.
